What a booking costs
Csyte is appointment-booking software for in-person OPD visits at licensed clinics and hospitals in India. There is no subscription and no joining fee for patients. You pay once, per booking, at the time you book — and the whole amount is shown to you before you commit.
The two parts
- The consultation fee — set by the clinic, not by Csyte, and different for every doctor. It is the clinic’s money: we collect it on their behalf and remit it to them.
- The platform fee — 5% of the consultation fee, charged on top of it and never deducted from it. This is the only thing Csyte itself sells, and the only part we keep.
A worked example
For a doctor whose consultation fee is ₹500.00:
| Consultation fee (paid to the clinic) | ₹500.00 |
| Csyte platform fee (5%) | ₹25.00 |
| GST (18%) on the platform fee | ₹4.50 |
| You pay | ₹529.50 |
Nothing further is payable at the clinic’s counter for the consultation you booked. Anything the doctor orders during the visit — tests, procedures, medicines — is between you and the clinic, is priced by them, and does not go through Csyte.
Why GST applies to only part of it
Health care services supplied by a clinical establishment are exempt from GST under Entry 74 of Notification 12/2017-Central Tax (Rate), so the consultation fee carries no GST. Csyte’s platform fee is a separate, taxable supply of booking services, so GST at 18% applies to that fee alone. Your receipt shows the two separately.
Who is paid, and by whom
What Csyte does not sell
- No teleconsultation, video consultation or online medical consultation of any kind.
- No medical advice, diagnosis, triage or treatment — Csyte has no clinical function whatsoever.
- No sale or delivery of medicines, drugs, prescriptions or medical devices.
- No diagnostic tests, laboratory services, imaging or home sample collection.
- No health insurance, discount medical cards, membership plans or medical benefit packages.
- No wellness, fitness, therapy, spa or IV-drip services.
If you cancel
Cancel any time before the appointment starts and everything you paid comes back — the consultation fee, the platform fee and the GST charged on it. Nothing is withheld, however late you cancel. The full position, including what happens if the clinic cancels, is in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
For hospitals and clinics
Listing on Csyte costs a clinic nothing up front and carries no subscription. The clinic keeps its published consultation fee in full; the 5% platform fee is charged to the patient on top, not taken out of the clinic’s share. Collections are settled to a bank account the clinic verifies. See For hospitals.
Csyte is operated by CSYTE LLP. The platform fee is invoiced by CSYTE LLP; the consultation fee is the clinic’s supply, not ours.
